A few months back, a couple of friends of mine had received Vox Boxes from a company called Influenster. Naturally, I had to check it out. So, what is Influenster? Well, according to their site, here is their definition: Influenster is a free-to-join community of invited trendsetters who live to give opinions of products and experiences. Influenster creates links between brands and members to reward participation and influence future products. It seems similar to House Party, another community I joined a few years ago, where companies give out free samples of new products to members, who host a party to share the product with their friends, then all share reviews of the product. I really enjoyed House Party, but it became difficult for me to schedule gatherings for the product reviews. The difference I see with Influenster, is that instead of having a party, you, and sometimes a friend, try out a product, and use social media to review the products. With neither, you get paid monetarily, you get paid in products.
So, after joining Influenster in July, I didn’t really do much with my membership. I filled out some information, earned a couple of badges, and got busy with other things. Recently, Influenster had a make-over and relaunched their website. I don’t remember much about the old website, but the website now is eye-catching and easy to navigate. I’m still learning all the ins and outs of their system, and this blog is one of my first steps to getting more active in it. I also recently received my first Vox Box, which I will be sharing the details of very soon. I’m not sure if the effort will be worth it yet, but I guess we’ll see!
So, if you like to see new products and give your opinions, Influenster might be the place for you!
